Varies of course.  It can be $600 for a custom table or dresser; depending on the type of wood and joinery.  And on the other side of the spectrum it can be $300 for the same piece using screws instead of wood joinery and soft wood; as opposed to hard wood or specialty barn boards.  Your price range will vary because it depends on exactly what you want.  But that is where communication comes in.

Prices for these racks vary.  Wood joinery and no mechanical fasteners will be more expensive than screws.  Hardwood barn boards will be more expensive than regular hardwood, (Cherry, maple, elm, oak).  Listed most expensive to lease expensive.  There is still a good amount of work that goes into using softwood barn boards but those are more plentiful and easier to use.

• Choice hardwood barn boards with wood joinery.  $120
• Common hardwood barn boards with wood joinery.  $110
• Common hardwood barn boards with screws.  $100
• Regular hardwood with wood joinery. $100 for Cherry and Maple.  $95 for Elm.  $90 for Oak.

Prices for photography are difficult, from my end anyways.  Besides weddings, it averages to about $100 per hour of actual camera shooting time.  That includes travel time, fuel, researching, and retouching/tweaking pictures. (Does not include the cost of the pictures themselves).  I DO NOT MAKE MY MONEY BY CHARGING OUTRAGEOUS PRICES FOR PHOTOS YOU CAN PRINT OFF AT WAL-MART!
You will pay around my cost for pictures.  I usually round up to the next half or whole dollar.  So if the picture costs $2.20, I will charge $2.50.

I don't do packages because I don't want people to pay for services they don't really want.  So if you want me to take modeling pictures and it takes 2 hours then I usually charge $200 total.  (You pay actual cost of pictures)  No fees for putting the pictures in Photoshop or other processing like that.  Just simple.
Senior pictures, pets, family, sporting events, reunions, etc.... all work out to about the same price.

Senior Pictures

• Usually lasts 2 hours-average.  
• Price of photos are listed above. 
  
• All photos are taken outside or inside.  No indoor studio pictures.  
• As many poses and wardrobe changes as you want.
• Includes a DVD of all the pictures.  Including the bad ones.
  
• Props, animals, friends are always welcome.

Weddings

Weddings are different for me.  My base prices is $400 and I will not charge over $800 for any wedding; so that will leave lots of flex in your budget.  I have done weddings where I have taken pictures until 1:00 AM and others the people only wanted me for the Ceremony, Group Shots, and Reception.  So my charges will vary depending on our conversation and agreement.  (It never hurts to ask)
Prices for Weddings:

• Before, during, and after the ceremony and formal pictures. $400
• Before, during, and after the ceremony; formal pictures, bar hopping and reception. $500
• Getting ready, before, during, and after the ceremony; formal pictures, bar hopping and reception. $600
• Getting ready, before, during, and after the ceremony; formal pictures, bar hopping, reception, and special dances. $700
  
• Getting ready, before, during, and after the ceremony; formal pictures, bar hopping, reception, and all dances/dancing. $800
• Anything in between $400 and $800 that is not listed, ask.
  
• ALL PRICES INCLUDE TWO COPIES OF ALL WEDDING PICTURES ON DVD.
• CAN BE INDOORS OR OUTDOORS.
  

There are times where you might have to pay more because you want more.  For example you want 10 DVDs of the wedding pictures with a nice design etched onto the top of the DVD with hard shell cases and a big landscape picture of the wedding party printed off.  That would be a little more of course. 

I do make deals with people all the time because being an adult is hard, and sometimes things don't always go the way we plan.  I have taken senior pictures for the actual cost of the pictures because the certain individual was poor and that person was also a good student to my wife the Art Teacher.  I have also done woodworking projects at a discount because they gave me additional wood to keep.  Woodworkers need wood so it worked out well.
